Eveready 1-D flashlight, LED

one-D flashlight, LED

This handy LED flashlight uses one D-cell battery.

The Eveready two-flashlight pack was purchased at Walmart, and two old-style batteries were included. They were not labeled as alkaline batteries, so they probably were not.

It has a clickie switch, which works well. The head unscrews to allow loading the single battery.

The difference in weight compared to two-D flashlights is noticeable. Made of plastic, the light is shorter, too. More compact and lighter weight. It was available in red and blue colors.

The tail end is flat, so the light is easy to tailstand. That is useful when the flashlight is used to provide light for a room.

The light is cheap and useful, and would make a nice extra “give away” light in the car, in case you come upon a situation where someone needs a light, but doesn’t have one.

Nice inexpensive torch.
