StraightTalk Wireless Hotspot, 3G
Straight Talk Unimax U240C 3G WIFI Mobile Hotspot
This is a very handy way to take wireless internet with you.
It can be purchased on the Walmart website, or on the StraightTalk website.
There was a sale on refurbished hotspots when this one was purchased. $20 with free shipping (the ST website).
It uses prepaid data plans which can be purchased in a Walmart store, or online. A sample data plan is 4 gigabytes of data transfer for $40, and the plan is good for two months. Unless you use up the data. When the data is used up, the internet connection stops, and a new data plan needs to be purchased and added.
The hotspot can run off its own internal battery, or while plugged in to AC house power, or by connecting the USB cable (included) to a laptop or home computer.
The hotspot can run maybe two hours on a full battery charge. And it can fit into a pants pocket. :)
