Rayovac LED Flashlight, 2-D

This is a very handy and compact flashlight, considering that it uses two D-cell batteries, lined up in the traditional fashion.

The switch is the traditional type, with ON, OFF, and MOMENTARY positions. The momentary position enables the button, which turns on the light as long as it is pressed. Release it, and the light goes off.

The body is chrome-plated steel. But it is not thick enough to resist dents. Mine has minor dents from normal wear-and-tear, being carried in a bag and in a car.

The “bulb” area in the flashlight head is protected by a transparent plastic “lens” cap. It is simply flat, clear plastic, so I put “lens” in parentheses. This “lens” is not very strong. Mine cracked without being abused. But it still works.
